As a new stadium construction is to be approved for the Los Angeles suburb of Industry by October 15, the developers, the Majestic Realty Co. has made plan to invite a NFL team to the City of Angles, far before the $800 million, 600-acre project is completed.
In fact, the developers have planned to ask in February at least six NFL teams if they want to move to L.A. next season or wait till the construction is done in a few years. One of the six teams is the San Diego Chargers, who have a three-month window every year that starts in February to inform the city of San Diego what their plans are for the coming season. And the developers of the L.A. new stadium hope that the team’s plans for 2010 will include moving to Los Angeles.
The developers pronounced last year they would have a team in L.A. by this season. Although by so far no team has seemed to be interested in moving there, they still believe that Los Angeles will have one NFL team in near future.
