Having not missed a start since Nov. 5, 2006, the New York Giants starting right tackle Kareem McKenzie, however, might have to miss this weekend’s game in Kansas City against the winless Chiefs. The cause is a sprained right knee.
On Monday, McKenzie said that his knee was “wonderful” as he walked into the locker room. And on the same day, Coach Tom Coughlin said that his status for the game against the Chiefs is uncertain while starting left guard Rich Seubert will likely play even though Seubert was also injured (right shoulder) in the 24-0 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
Other injured players that would return to field include cornerbacks Aaron Ross and Kevin Dockery and rookie receiver Hakeen Nicks. Ross and Dockey have missed three games with hamstring injuries, and Nicks’ foot injury has kept him out for the past two weeks.
