Colts safety Bethea broke his right hand

During Indianapolis Colts Wednesday practices, safety Antoine Bethea had to stay on the sideline for both sessions, because he has cracked a bone in his right hand.

Colts coach Jim Caldwell didn't give a timetable for Bethea's return, but he said that Bethea would return when he can play while wearing a cast. I guess he would not feel happy to see troy polamalu jersey hot on sale, not his.

The Colts would not like to lose another safety in Bethea since they are still unsure about when safety Bob Sanders will be back for the regular-season opener next month. They must have Bethea, who went to the Pro Bowl in 2007 when Sanders was the NFL's defensive player of the year, in their defense during Sanders’ absence.
