In the preseason opener on Thursday night, quarterback Tom Brady led the New England Patriots to a 27-25 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. A lot of fans could not help to kiss the tom brady jersey they are wearing. That was really a good beginning for the Pats taking that it was Brady’s first game since tearing ligaments in his left knee in Week 1 last year.
Brady was still wearing a protective brace, but he ran well in the pocket and appeared to be not affected by the surgically repaired left knee. He also managed to complete 10 of 15 passes for 100 yards with one interception and throw two touchdown passes to tight end Chris Baker respectively in the first and second quarter, making only one mistake in the first quarter when he had a pass intercepted by cornerback Sheldon Brown.
The two-time Super Bowl MVP had started 128 consecutive games before he sat out the entire exhibition season last year because of an unspecified foot injury.
