Bills Terrell Owens defended the San Diego cornerback Antonio Cromartie on Friday, saying that it was ridiculous to fine a player for criticizing the food service at training camp on Twitter.
While Chargers coach Norv Turner said that players should not criticize the Chargers’ organization in tweets, Owens thought that it was no harm for a player to say his honest opinion about the cafeteria food.
“What’s wrong with that?” he said. “It’s no different than saying practice is too hard.”
As Bills coach Dick Jauron and team officials also told their players to be careful with their tweet, Owens was asked about cuisine at Bills training camp, too. He grinned and said that cafeteria food at Bills training camp was the best selection he has been around.
